When you stay in an RV, cabin, tent, hotel, or rental home, a portable CO detector gives you added awareness in unfamiliar or temporary spaces.
CO Test Tool For Quick Checks
Monitoring keeps you safe while sleeping. But when you suspect a leak in your diesel heater, propane pipe, or exhaust, you need active detection.

When staying in hotels, motels, cabins, or rentals, you may not know how the heating system, ventilation, or nearby exhaust sources are maintained.
RV & Road Trip
RVs are small, enclosed spaces. When generators, heaters, or exhaust sources are nearby, carbon monoxide can build up quickly without visible warning signs.
Camping
Tents, cabins, and portable stoves can create hidden CO risks when ventilation is limited or equipment is placed too close.
A portable detector cannot prevent every risk, but it can help you notice rising CO levels earlier in places you do not control.
How to Use a Portable CO Detector
Step 1: Turn it on before you settle in
Power on the detector when you arrive, before sleeping, cooking, heating, or spending a long time inside.
Step 2: Mount or Wear Securely
Clip the unit onto your backpack/harness or hang it at head-height inside your tent using the built-in lanyard/clip.
Step 3: Monitor Real-Time PPM
Check the live LCD display. Safe ambient levels should remain near 0 PPM. Watch for gradual accumulation when operating heaters.
Before your first use or an important trip, we recommend performing a test by exposing the sensor to smoke from a cigarette or paper burning in a low-oxygen condition.
